So I've been cycling for the past week or so, doing hot yoga, yoga and reformer as my primary forms of excercise.

Yesterday I went out to do some off road biking *holy heck I really dig that* and today I did a trail ride from the north end of london to the south end. A little over 2 hours with an hour reformer session after.

I have forgotten how hungry cycling makes me- seriously I stop and I'm looking for what I can eat that is not nailed down.

O.o

Today on my trip I also found the off leash dog park and a few other gems of places to put on my "to be explored" list. Perhaps I'll goto gym sometime soon, but after this year I'm canceling my membership as I think I want to just focus on Hot yoga and cross training. So much going on in my head right now and well- I've got to get ready for work.

Until this medial quad is fully healed I think my primary form of training is going to be on the bike- as it is far easier than doing nothing.

I haven’t written much in this section primarily because I have an injured R medial Quadracep. That being the case, I’m focusing on yoga, biking, erging and weights. Once I’m able to run again that will go back into the routine full force. However the pull is bad enough that just walking is 4/10 on the pain scale- not good for walking.

What happened is I made a very silly mistake- one that if I thought about I would have realized- but I did not- so here I am. I have been working out with a friend for the past month. Her favorite thing to work out on is the Eliptical… fucking piece of shit machine. Yes it gets your heart rate up, yes it helps burn fat, but because it is NON-weight bearing, it does NOTHING for maintaining weight bearing fitness. Not one thing.

So after working out with her for several weeks, I went back into my routine- I did a 60 min run, then followed it with another 2 days later… only to have the pain stop me ☹ Part of why I thought this would be acceptable, is that with yoga, I had only fatigue when returning to running- and in actuality my distance and endurance increase… well the Elipitcal is not yoga ☹

Last night I did hot yoga again *yay* and found out they have a summer special- so now I need to save up before Aug 31st so I can enjoy a year of yoga at 80 month! WOOHOO that will be awesome- and then in Oct when my gym membership expires I will transfer my monies from that to CrossFit (if you don’t know what that is- google it, as it will ROCK your WORLD!)

Right now marathon is a maybe- I might have to do a half at my birthday as I just don’t know if this will heal fast enough for me to do the full one this year. Tis ok- I still have 2 more years for my goals as of September, so this is only a small “burp” of what I hope is not too many of them. Yet even with all my training- I still sometimes let a boo-boo slip past me. *sigh* well today I will bike and do some weights, but until then I will eat breakfast, start my laundry and nap ☺

YAY to naps!
